Dr. Milan Lassiter has the experience of approximately LASSITER_PORT-517 years of private and group practice. He is the sports chiropractor for all of VCU athletics and works with athletes from all of their sports teams.

Dr. Lassiter attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated in 1998. A chiropractic education involves a five academic-year course of study and clinical training. He is licensed under the NJ and VA Medical Boards, and has passed the board exams for both the CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) and the CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician).

He often combines chiropractic techniques along with unique soft tissue therapies, being certified in a number of specialized soft tissue techniques. He has also brought cutting-edge therapies to Richmond, such as The ATM2 (Active Therapeutic Movement), Radial Pulse shockwave therapy, the REPEX physical therapy table, and Class IV Laser therapy. These techniques are either unavailable or hard to find elsewhere in the Richmond area.

Dr. Lassiter has special experience in working with athletes and exercisers, and also with musicians and dancers, all of whom can suffer from a similar type of injury and overuse condition.

Dr. Lassiter has specific, extensive experience with severe degenerative conditions of the spine, such as herniated or bulged discs.  He spent 2 years in one of the largest non-surgical disc decompression therapy centers in NJ.  The facility had medical doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists, all working on cases together in one office.  This unique experience gave him an expertise in severe back and neck conditions such as herniated or bulged discs, stenosis, and conditions which radiate pain down the arm or leg.
