Dry needling is a treatment to restore proper function to abnormally behaving muscles. These muscles develop hyper-irritable, painful “knots” or tight bands within the muscle. The muscle becomes “locked” and can’t function normally, which causes restricted movement and chronic pain.
Dry needling short-circuits the vicious trigger point cycle in a very direct, immediate, and quick manner that other methods can’t accomplish. The treatment uses sterile, ultra-thin needles to release the trigger point and “unlock” the muscle. Dr. Lassiter has had advanced, first-rate dry needling training.
The dry needling procedure is not to be confused with acupuncture. Dry needling is a muscle and myofascial trigger point technique. However, acupuncture is a complete system of Eastern healing.
